Product development that reduces co2 emissions!

The new CUBE BASIC is made of plastic, both frame and bins. We are proud to be able to launch a sustainable product development case that decreases the co2 footprint from the product with more than 70%*.

The purpose of this product development case is to shift the material from epoxy coated steel sheet to plastic and thereby gain both in decreased price and in sustainability.

The sustainability gains are both through the shift in material and in the place of production which goes from Vietnam to Sweden. And the biggest effect comes from the fact that the weight of the product decreases significantly.

This is one of the development projects where our sustainability work is the driving force and where we see significant change in the sustainability in the product as well as in the price. It proves that it is possible to make sustainable changes that don’t have to be expensive or increase product prices.

Right now the first batch is being produced and tested in production here in Gnosjö.

 * Estimate made from calculations made by third party. Based on change of material, difference in weight and distance to production site.
